Release Manager II – Live Service Games (PC & Console)

As a Release Manager II, you'll be joining the team responsible for updating and deploying our game to our players everywhere. You will be involved with improving our product delivery pipeline with a continuous delivery mindset, using both process and technology at your disposal.You understand what fuels games as a live service and have a passion to improve the experience for internal developers getting content out the door, and most importantly, for our players.You are a communication authority able to craft efficient and clear messages to any size group or situation. You will wrangle processes and organize teams to keep the momentum building and foster teamwork and continuous improvement across the organization.Responsibilities:Execute the release and deployment process in collaboration with Release Managers, ensuring a consistent and high-quality player experience.Support day-to-day operation of the release pipeline, following established processes to maintain readiness and stability.Coordinate across development, operations, and product teams to ensure releases progress smoothly and on schedule.Assist product teams in following release practices, helping identify and escalate risks that may impact players.Support ongoing improvements to the delivery pipeline, executing on defined process and tooling changes.Engage with technical systems and tooling, monitoring pipelines, investigating issues, and escalating as needed.Collaborate with engineering to implement fixes and improvements for release and pipeline reliability.Reinforce consistent release practices across teams, helping ensure alignment with established standards.Required Experience:2+ years of experience in Release Management, QA, Live Operations, or similar roles within PC software or live service environmentsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and development tools (e.g. Jenkins, Perforce, Git, Datadog, JIRA)Ability to follow established processes and execute reliably in a live service environmentBasic troubleshooting skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately to engineering or senior stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience coordinating across multiple teams in an operational settingPreferred Experience:3+ years of experience in Release Management or related roles (e.g. Technical QA, Live Operations, DevOps) within PC software or live service environmentsRelease Management experience in mobile, and console with crossplay or cross progression features.Must Have:Release Management or similar experience in PC software development for at least 2 years, Strong written and verbal communication skills, Proven success driving live service issues to resolution, Experience driving complex projects and/or programs to completion across large, diverse teamsTechnical expertise in CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins, P4, GIT), Monitoring (Datadog), and JIRANice To Have:1st Party Tools (Microsoft Partner Center and Playstation Portal)Has done Release Management in games for at least 3 years, Has experience in mobile, and console game development, Previous experience working in a Technical QA or Live Game Production roleExpectations in role:Independently scope and deliver projects that improve the product delivery pipeline and release reliabilityCreate, maintain, and execute runbooks for bi-weekly patches and deployments across PC and consoleCoordinate response to live incidents related to releases, ensuring timely resolution and clear communicationOwn day-to-day operation of the build and integration pipeline, tracking changes, surfacing risks, and maintaining release readinessManage build configuration and distribution across environments, ensuring accuracy and consistencyCoordinate build delivery to partners, clearly communicating changes, risks, and versioningDrive first-party certification and submission processes, ensuring timelines and requirements are metTrack and follow up on RCAs and integration issues, ensuring timely completion and visibilityUse tooling, automation, and AI-assisted workflows to reduce manual effort and improve reliabilityCollaborate with engineering to identify and propose solutions to long-term release and pipeline challengesCollect and report on release KPIs, using data to highlight trends and areas for improvementIt’s our policy to provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees of Bee Talent Solutions.
