It’s a ground-up rebuild of the integrations that power short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, hospital indemnity, critical illness, and our expanding absence management product line.\nAs a Java Integration Engineer on the ReClaimer’s team, you will own features end-to-end; from intake all the way through to payment; working across a shared technology stack with a cross-functional team of engineers and business analysts. See our benefits and perks page for details\nApplicants for this position must not now, nor at any point in the future, require sponsorship for employment\nThis role is classified as remote; however, periodic in-person attendance will be required at times for activities such as quarterly or project planning, training, or other business-critical meetings.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign and build API and microservice integrations connecting FINEOS insurance SaaS to internal systems including payments, member onboarding, financial platforms, and correspondence workflows\nOwn features from intake to payment as part of a feature focused agile team, reducing handoff dependencies and delivering end-to-end business capabilities\nExpand integration coverage as Workplace Solutions adds new product lines, including employer-sponsored absence and leave management\nCollaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate claims business requirements into scalable, reliable backend solutions\nMentor and coach junior engineers on the team, sharing knowledge of design patterns, best practices, and system architecture\nParticipate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical design reviews within a SAFe/ART delivery model\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards, and engineering practices as the platform evolves\nEvaluate integration patterns and make architectural recommendations that balance technical debt, scalability, and delivery speed\nWhat You’ll Bring\n5+ years of professional Java application development with strong hands-on experience in Spring and Spring Boot\nProven experience designing and building REST APIs and microservices in an enterprise environment\nStrong SQL skills and comfort working with relational databases in an integration context\nSelf-directed and tenacious problem solver who can drive issues to resolution with minimal supervision\nComfortable working in agile teams and collaborating closely with business analysts and non-technical stakeholders\nTrack record of writing clean, testable code with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Spock\nYou promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and remain curious in all that you do\nAble to work remotely with access to high-speed internet; must be located in the United States or Puerto Rico\nPreferred\nAWS, MuleSoft, or other cloud integration and middleware platforms\nOracle database experience\nKafka and event-driven architecture\nDocker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipeline tooling\nExperience with FINEOS or other SaaS claims/insurance platforms\nFamiliarity with SAFe, ART delivery, or large-scale agile environments\nWe value diverse experience, skills, and passion for innovation.
