In this role, you will be responsible for developing, operating, and scaling a cloud-native generative AI platform across Impact Levels 5 and 6 (IL5/IL6) and Top Secret (TS) environments.\nThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, secure cloud technologies, and DevSecOps practices. You will play a critical role in delivering scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure that enables the deployment of frontier AI capabilities in support of Department of Defense (DoD) missions.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure within Azure GovCloud and/or AWS GovCloud environments.\nDeploy, configure, and support core platform technologies, including Kubernetes, Istio, Keycloak, ArgoCD, Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), and PostgreSQL, across IL5, IL6, and TS environments while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources while ensuring consistency across multiple environments.\nManage and optimize containerized application deployments using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization.\nDesign, implement, and maintain secure GitLab CI/CD pipelines that support automated, compliant, and efficient software delivery.\nConfigure and maintain networking components, load balancers, BCAP dual routing, and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) integrations in support of Zero Trust architecture.\nImplement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system performance issues, security events, and infrastructure outages.\nEnsure cloud infrastructure complies with applicable federal security standards by implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and data protection measures.\nCollaborate closely with software engineers, cybersecurity teams, architects, and government stakeholders to ensure the successful integration, deployment, and operation of cloud services.\nRequired Qualifications:\nActive TS/SCI security clearance.\nExtensive experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes.\nStrong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.\nExperience supporting secure cloud environments within Azure GovCloud and/or AWS GovCloud.\nExperience designing, implementing, and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong understanding of secure cloud architecture, configuration management, and infrastructure automation.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with SIPRNet, JWICS cloud environments, and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).\nDeep understanding of DevSecOps principles and experience implementing them within highly regulated government environments.\nExperience designing highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across software engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and government teams.\nA proactive, continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation, infrastructure modernization, and secure software delivery.\nAt IT Veterans LLC, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
