The above represents the standard Corporate Policy\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate and prioritize the workload of the diesel technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner\nUtilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in diesel vehicles and equipment\nManage inventory\nPerform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.\nManage inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance and repair activities while minimizing waste and excess inventory.\nPerform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.\nCoach and monitor members of the work team.\nAssist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.\nExecute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.\nLead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.\nPerform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.\nOther duties as required.\nQualifications\nHigh level of problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address service concerns proactively.\n3 or more years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.\nASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.\nMechanic’s Tool Set\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\nSubject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason\nPhysical Requirements\nThe essential functions of this position require the ability to:\nWork outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.\nSit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces\nPush and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level\nWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.\nPerform other duties as assigned\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
