The Turner’s Outdoorsman Manager Trainee assists the Store Manager as the business and cultural leader of the store team, responsible for achieving sales goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability growth as well as understanding, practicing, and being a strong proponent of the Turner’s brand and the company culture. The Manager In Training is a retail professional role model in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service, who possesses the ability to teach these skills to the team and ultimately lead by example.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nProvides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanship\nEnsures customers enjoy a full service and high value shopping experience\nReceives stock accurately and displays merchandise\nOperates the Hunting and Tackle Departments along with other store operations\nMakes daily assignments and provides supervision of store employees on a daily basis\nReleases customer firearms\nSources, places and follows up on orders\nResponsible for accuracy in audits, match ups, and check in\nSupervises paperwork ensuring accuracy\nAbility to work in teams and with various levels of management and personnel\nPerform other duties as assigned which includes but not limited to covering employee shifts, breaks and/or lunches in other departments as needed\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred\nFluent in English\nMust have at possess sales experience in a leading role\nKnowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred\nLegally eligible to work in a firearms environment\nMust be 18 years or older\nCustomer service experience required\nCertificate of Eligibility Required\nMust be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment\nExceptional communication and interpersonal skills\nExudes patience, adaptability, takes initiative\nWorks with integrity, a high level of energy and has a high tolerance of stress\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nResponsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance\nMust be able to use both hands when handling a firearm\nMust be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs\nMust be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\nOccasional travel is required (approximately 15% of the time-participating in events, training seminars, corporate meetings or opening new store locations)\nHOURS\nHours-at least 45 hours per week are required, varied\nRequests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods\nTurner's Outdoorsman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
