The Director will work closely with the National Director and Program Directors to oversee, coordinate, and drive strategic initiatives within the program, in addition to providing oversight of day-to-day operations. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role that requires exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.\n\n The Director will be responsible for on-time delivery of program launch and execution of goals while providing high-quality work aligned to U.S. Department Of Energy (DOE) requirements. This individual will also manage subcontractors to ensure a seamless implementation team.\n\n This position will be responsible for making high-level and impactful decisions to define the path forward, providing strategic guidance and support to resolve barriers and find innovative solutions.\n\n \n Act as primary liaison between the client, program staff, state-wide stakeholders, and corporate management to maintain a highly collaborative and operationally efficient environment.\n \n \n Manage two related programs, strategies, budgets having high complexity in a coordinated way to optimize benefits, minimize risk, and control outcomes across the portfolio.\n \n \n Continuously improve strategies, designs, and operations to ensure the program maintains excellence or improves on KPIs, including customer satisfaction, energy savings, and cost-effectiveness.\n \n \n Ensure work is performed safely, ethically, within budget, according to client requirements and schedule, and with exceptional quality.\n \n \n Prepare effective communications (e.g., memos, presentations, analysis) to support program policy changes, critical management decisions, corrective actions, or other key decisions.\n \n \n Maintain communication with APTIM leadership, escalating key issues in a timely manner to garner support, bringing insights, guidance, and/or resources back to the program team as appropriate.\n \n \n Analyze contractual and financial performance and direct activities to improve performance.\n \n \n Provide leadership, support, and actively participate in relevant industry and stakeholder groups.\n \n \n Keep abreast of DOE guidelines and developments to ensure ongoing program compliance and success.\n \n \n Keep abreast of economic, policy, and technology developments and changes related to energy and energy efficiency both locally and nationally.\n \n \n Assume responsibility for identifying and capitalizing upon new opportunities for enhancing the program and services in alignment with evolving client, market, or customer needs.\n \n \n Allocate and manage staff and resources to meet objectives and continuously investigate and implement ways to improve operational efficiency.\n \n \n Lead an internal team, as well as subcontractors and consultants.\n \n \n Manage the performance of employees through goal setting, ongoing assessment, and coaching.\n \n \n Other duties as assigned.\n \n \n Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.\n \n\n Qualifications\n\n \n Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in related fields such as Business, Engineering, Environmental Studies, etc. or equivalent work experience.\n \n \n 8+ years of progressive experience in Energy Efficiency, Energy Management, Sustainability, Program Management, or Demand Side Management Programs.\n \n \n Experience leading and managing a program team.\n \n \n Demonstrated ability to build and lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams successfully and build collegial and collaborative team culture through direct and indirect leadership.\n \n \n Working knowledge of the energy efficiency industry history and landscape.\n \n \n Ability to clearly define, refine, train, and manage teams in the implementation of internal processes and controls associated with accounting, human resources (e.g., interviewing, onboarding, goal setting, personnel development), contracting and compliance, work safety, and financial reporting.\n \n \n Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a complex strategic vision and translate its pursuit into actionable tactics, actions, and objectives.\n \n \n Executive level communication and presentation skills.\n \n \n Contract negotiation expertise.\n \n \n Advanced in Microsoft Office software suite.\n \n \n Demonstrated ability to proactively manage risks and issues across all facets of program implementation.\n \n \n Financial management budgeting and reporting experience.\n \n \n Experience managing multi-million-dollar programs and P&L.\n \n \n High level of emotional intelligence and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.\n \n \n Strategic thinker with a practical, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.\n \n \n Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.\n \n \n Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and broader organization.\n \n\n Desired/Preferred Qualifications\n\n \n Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and/or Power BI.\n \n \n Professional experience working with a wide variety of stakeholders, such as state, local and federal governments, for-profit and non-profit organizations, utilities,
