Location: Hybrid – Boston, MADuration: 12+ months Contract W2/C2CRate: $65 - $70 per hourRole OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Azure Full-Stack & Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud-based applications and data pipelines. This role combines frontend, backend, and data engineering responsibilities, with a strong focus on delivering business-driven solutions using modern Azure technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication DevelopmentDevelop responsive frontend applications using React (or similar frameworks)Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using C#, Java, or Node.jsDesign scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud applicationsAzure Cloud EngineeringDeploy and manage applications using services on the Microsoft Azure cloud platformWork with:Azure App ServicesAzure FunctionsAzure SQLAPI Management (APIM)Key VaultData Engineering & PipelinesDesign and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using:Azure Data Factory (ADF)Azure Synapse AnalyticsAzure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)Build data ingestion frameworks from APIs, databases, and SaaS platformsEnsure data quality, validation, and consistencyData Processing & OptimizationDevelop batch and real-time data processing solutionsMonitor and optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and costImplement data transformation and orchestration workflowsSecurity & GovernanceImplement data security best practices (encryption, access control)Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standardsDevOps & AutomationBuild and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOpsAutomate deployment, scheduling, and monitoring of workflowsCollaboration & Business AlignmentWork with stakeholders to gather and refine requirementsTranslate business needs into technical solutionsContribute to architecture and design decisionsDocument systems, processes, and data flowsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience in full-stack and/or cloud developmentHands-on experience with Azure servicesStrong experience in frontend (React) and backend developmentExperience building data pipelines and working with large datasetsPreferred SkillsKnowledge of data modeling and performance optimizationExperience with multiple data sources and integrationsFamiliarity with Agile development practicesStrong problem-solving and communication skillsKey CompetenciesAbility to connect technical solutions with business goalsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAdaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologiesEffective collaboration with cross-functional teams
