Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Medical Surgical/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7:15 AM) Experience: 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience required License: Active Michigan Nursing License required Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS required Must-Have: Med/Surg Observation Experience required Description: Works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. The Staff RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care on the nursing unit according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Accepts responsibility for the direction of co-workers in the implementation of the patient’s plan of care. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: Provides nursing care using the Nursing Process by completing nursing assessments of patients and documenting appropriately in the patient chart. Develops a plan of care based upon the assessment of the patient. Implements the plan of care and documents in the chart. Evaluates the patient’s response to care and updates the plan of care. Oversees the delegation of specifics of the patient plan of care to unit staff.
