Audit and assurance services are provided by Elliott Davis, LLC (doing business in NC and D.C. as Elliott Davis, PLLC), a licensed CPA firm.\r\nJob Summary\r\nThe role of Audit Manager is to oversee the audit process from planning to completion for clients as part of the company's annual audit plan. Tasks will include supervising the audit process, researching, reviewing current processes and providing recommendations to enhance company policies and procedures. The Audit Manager is responsible for training, supporting, supervising, motivating, and reviewing the work of audit staff and senior members.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nPossess thorough knowledge of all facets of client's business to ensure client understanding of engagement economics and to provide frequent updates\r\nActively communicate progress of engagements, problems, and resolutions to clients\r\nContinuously improve specialty area knowledge and educate team on new audit practices and processes\r\nManage billable hour budgets and follow up when team is over/under to determine cause\r\nLead multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements simultaneously\r\nDelegate and manage audit and accounting assignments to achieve accurate and efficient product\r\nResearch and identify complex audit issues and recommend creative solutions with the input of key stakeholders\r\nBuild challenging developmental plans for all team members and evaluate results\r\nManage billable hour budgets and follow up when team is over/under to determine cause\r\nAssume responsibility for and provide direction and coaching to audit team\r\nGenerate new business for firm through community involvement, networking, and professional events/committees\r\nDevelop and sustain excellent client relationships, owning the relationship end-to-end\r\nCelebrate individual and team accomplishments and be part of recruiting new and experienced staff\r\nProvide effective performance feedback and on-the-job training\r\nContribute to performance management to help assess readiness for promotion of staff and senior levels\r\nRequirements\r\nA Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance\r\n5+ years recent audit experience at a public accounting firm\r\nCPA Certification\r\nSuccessful experience in developing new or extended service opportunities with existing and/or prospective clients\r\nStrong oral and written interpersonal skills\r\nEffective analytical and problem-solving ability\r\nExperience in hiring, developing and leading a team of professional auditors\r\nWHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US\r\nWe believe that when our employees are able to thrive in all facets of life, their work and impact are that much greater.
