{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"0ea47f6b9256ff6eb17d0f10","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0ea47f6b9256ff6eb17d0f10","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0ea47f6b9256ff6eb17d0f10","title":"Phlebotomist","description":"Job Description:\nThe Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.\nThe PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.\nThe PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.\nThe PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.\nUnder the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.\nMaintain a safe and professional environment.\nPerforms with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.\nMaintains required records and documentation.\nDemonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.\nJob Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nMedical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.\nPhlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).\nMinimum of 6 months experience required.\nOne(+) years phlebotomy experience preferred.\nAbility to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.\nExcellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.\nFlexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.\nCustomer service in a retail or service environment preferred.\nKeyboard/data entry experience a must.\nShift/Time Zone: Tuesday- Saturday. 6:30am-3:30pm on weekdays. 6am-3pm on Saturday\nBenefits:\nHealthcare Insurance: Synectics offers eligible employees and their dependents healthcare coverage through BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois.
