The QISG team brings together Engineering, Safety, Quality, Material Procurement, QA/QC, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Scheduling, Environmental Planning, Permitting, Title and Land Management expertise that ensure outstanding results for our clients.\n\nAbout this Role\n\nThe Materials Coordinator at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is responsible for the proper and timely coordination of materials management including receipt, inspection, put away and storage, kitting, and the safe distribution of project materials to support field construction activities.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nEnsures all inventory is handled and stored safely, according to any requirements and engineering specifications\nManages and executes receiving, count, and inspection of materials delivered to construction site /warehouse/ lay-down yard; reconciles any discrepancies whether it be QA/QC, overage, shortage, damage, or other\nManages and directs the placement and distribution of materials and equipment onto various trucks to ensure items are safely transported to/from construction sites\nObtains and resolves material related questions and/or problems, directly coordinating between project managers, engineering staff, suppliers, fabricators, construction teams, project controls, or other management staff\nManages QA/QC receiving and issuing of material to ensure safe, timely, and accurate receipt and issue of materials\nPlans, manages, and executes phase bundling, structure staging, and kitting to help streamline materials for construction\nPerforms on-site material audits to ensure accuracy of inventory\nMaintains all files, receipts, and records for lay-down yard inventory and operations\nDirectly manages, controls, and performs data input for project materials within our inventory management system to provide real time and accurate inventory reporting\nDirects, coordinates, and supervises the off loading and storage of materials as they are received or issued to construction\nPerforms project closeout for materials, purchase orders, and other contract requirements, including obtaining proper disposition instruction of excess materials\nActs as liaison between Project managers, customers, suppliers, and construction management to resolve any material related issues\nManages receiving and issuing of all materials, equipment, tools and consumables to ensure effective, timely and accurate receipt and issue for construction.\nEnsures all inventory is handled and stored safely, according to any requirements and engineering specifications\nMaintains a safe and orderly yard using proper housekeeping practices\nAssists in the completion of project mobilization and/or demobilization effort\nPerforms any other duties assigned\nAdheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nRequired Experience and Education\n\nHigh school diploma (or equivalent)\n3 years’ experience managing materials for a warehouse or lay-down yard;
