Join our Advanced Facilities team in Appleton, WI, Greenville, SC, or Pittsburgh, PA, and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities.During your internship, you’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with our client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. We'll rely on you to perform calculations and evaluations in the design of structures such as multi-building complexes, datacenters, manufacturing, and industrial facilities. You’ll have the chance to work on projects including the design of new structures as well as existing structural upgrades. With mentorship and guidance from our Professional Engineers and technical experts, counted on to assist in the performance of structural analysis and design for our projects. Working together, you'll help design structures to withstand environmental stresses and human pressures for a better tomorrow.To be successful in this position you will need strong communication and interpersonal skills as you work closely with your Structural Lead, Project Managers, Professional Engineers, and Designers across different disciplines. As part of this team, you will perform increasingly complex calculations and analysis as the structural design is developed, and learn to work with our Designers to get the structural requirements communicated on paper and in the model. Your internship will build on your structural coursework, exposing you to multiple subject areas, and learning how structural design integrates with and impacts other disciplines.
