We offer opportunities for professional development with additional incentives as you advance your skills and gain experience. In this role, you will successfully ensure that our technicians are properly trained and organized through mentorship within the Field Services department.\n\nResponsibilities\nField Activities: Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites.\nSafety: Inventory maintenance and organization of supplies; Calibration and maintenance of field equipment to include keeping accurate records; Promote safety and safety culture; Ensure proper PPE is used on project sites; Assist with company required safety training.\nCommunication: Daily communication with technicians, project managers, and general contractors; Collaborate with Team Leaders to support scheduling operations and recruiting to maintain appropriate staff among your team; Assist with management of field staff; Actively mentor and train junior field staff as they grow in their careers; Provide support to project managers and department manager as needed; Attend project meetings as requested; May participate in business development, marketing, and client development.\n\nCareer Development\nAs your experience grows, ECS will:\nSupport you in further enhancing your professional skills.\nEncourage continued participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities provided by organizations such as ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, various State DOTs, WACEL, and others, as appropriate.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n3+ years of related experience.\nMust have and be willing to maintain basic certifications.\nAdvanced certifications may be required based on the work performed.\nMust be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.\nStrong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).\nAbility to work effectively with peers and supervisors.\nGood understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM testing standards.\nProficient at data interpretation and evaluation of CMT techniques and results.\nMilitary Qualifications:\nThe following US Military ranks will qualify for this position IF they also meet the education and certification requirements from the above section titled \"Required Qualifications\":\nE-5\nWho We Are:\nECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
