Compensation & ScheduleStarting Wage: $22.00/hourNight Shift Premium: Additional $1.30/hourSchedule: Rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)Shift Time: Nights: 4:45 PM - 5:00 AM What You'll Do In this role, you will support laboratory operations, quality systems, and process improvement initiatives throughout the casthouse operation. Key responsibilities include:Perform laboratory testing, sample preparation, and analysis to support billet and slab casthouse operationsOperate and maintain laboratory equipment including spectrometers, optical microscopes, CNC machines, heat treat ovens, testing equipment, and material preparation toolsAccurately document, report, and maintain product and process records to support traceability, quality standards, and compliance requirementsSupport manufacturing process improvement, statistical monitoring, and quality assurance initiatives across Production and Metallurgical teamsMaintain laboratory procedures, work instructions, Measurement Assurance documentation, and ISO-related recordsPerform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and assist in maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areasTrain and support team members on laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and safe work practicesAssist with general laboratory operations including material handling and fork truck operation as needed What We're Looking For We're looking for detail-oriented individuals who are motivated to learn, take ownership of their work, and thrive in a technical manufacturing environment. Basic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionAbility to safely use cutting and grinding equipment including saws, grinders, sanders, and related toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work safely in an industrial laboratory and manufacturing environmentStrong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in an Engineering disciplinePrior laboratory or manufacturing testing experienceMechanical aptitude and computer proficiencyExperience operating a Spectrometer and Optical MicroscopeAbility to learn and safely operate small machine tools and fork trucksExperience supporting quality systems and process improvement initiativesFamiliarity with statistical monitoring and process capability methods Why Join EGA Spectro Alloys?
