Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.\nSUMMARY\nWesterman, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician with a proven ability to troubleshoot advanced mechanical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility. This position is responsible for preventative and mechanical maintenance and must possess advanced knowledge of machine repair. A successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.\nRESPONSIBILITIES Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.\nComplete mechanical repairs and makes adjustments as needed.\nPerform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned.\nSuccessfully troubleshoot mechanical problems.\nComplete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction.\nAccountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately.\nMaintain a clean and safe work area.\nPerform advanced electricity in order to work in maintenance field safely.\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty or responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nREQUIREMENTS\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\n0-1 years work experience in a related craft required\nBasic math skills required\nDemonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication required\nMust have and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license with an acceptable MVR as determined by the insurance carrier and the Company’s Vehicle Use Policy\nDESIRED EXPERIENCE\n3 years of manufacturing experience\nAdvanced knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing\nAdvanced mechanical, welding and cutting skills\nAbility to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints\nGood problem-solving skills, safety practices, and attention to quality\nHave workbench and computer skills\nMeter usage and ability to complete measurements\nMay require CPR and first aid training\nLockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined spaced training\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
