Staff Accountant (Full Time) - Baton Rouge, LAMonday – Friday, 40 hours per weekSTL Holding Company, LLC is looking for a Staff Accountant to handle general accounting functions including, but not limited to, working with accounting staff on miscellaneous projects, preparing monthly journal entries, maintaining balance sheet ledgers, and various account reconciliations and analysis.OverviewUnder the direction of the Controller, the Staff Accountant will participate in general ledger, month end close and reporting processes.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate financial reportingProvide coding for invoices to the Accounts Payable clerksPrepare account reconciliations and resolve any discrepanciesMaintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation recordsAssist with audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiriesSupport in daily, monthly, quarterly and annual tasksSupport in the preparation of financial reportsReview transactions for consistent and appropriate account coding in accordance with GAAP and company policiesPrepare schedules to be used in budget planningAssist with projects as neededJob Requirements & SkillsBachelors’ degree in Accounting required1-2 years experience in an accounting roleStrong work ethic and reliableProficient in Microsoft ExcelExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsStrong time management and organizational skillsSelf – directedProcess orientedStrong analytical and problem solving skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyAbility to handle day to day functions while working directly with accounting and operations teams and outside partiesCompensationSalary based upon experience BenefitsSTL Holding Company offers a benefits package for full-time employees that includes, but is not limited to, medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with employer match, long term disability, life insurance, and paid vacation and holidays.Please visit www.dsldhomes.com for more information.STL Holding Company, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer#CB
