Vision for Tomorrow's Opportunities.\nJoin William Blair, the Premier Global Partnership.\n\nWe are seeking a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud-native platforms within Azure. This role focuses on enabling reliable CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes-based workloads, and strong automation practices across Azure DevOps and GitHub environments. The ideal candidate has deep experience with AKS, modern DevOps tooling, and cloud governance in regulated environments.\nResponsibilities include but may not be limited to:\nDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.\nBuild and operate Kubernetes platforms using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including cluster design, scaling, and security.\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep or Terraform.\nAutomate build, test, deployment, and release processes across development, staging, and production environments.\nSupport GitHub repository management, branching strategies, PR workflows, and policy enforcement.\nCollaborate closely with development and other architectures to enable cloud-native application delivery.\nImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.\nEnforce security best practices including identity, RBAC, secrets management with Azure Key Vault, and supply chain security.\nTroubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to improve platform reliability.\nDevelop DevOps standards, reusable pipelines, and platform documentation.\nAdditional responsibilities as requested.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related subject matter required\n4-6 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles.\nStrong experience as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer in cloud environments.\nDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.\nStrong Kubernetes experience, specifically with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).\nProficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Bicep.\nExperience with containerization using Docker and OCI standards.\nStrong programming skills using Python (required), and PowerShell.\nExperience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.\nSolid understanding of networking, security, and identity in cloud environments.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience operating platforms in financial services or regulated environments.\nKnowledge of GitHub Advanced Security, SAST/DAST, and dependency scanning tools.\nExperience with service mesh, ingress controllers, and Kubernetes security tooling.\nFamiliarity with Agile and DevSecOps practices.\nC# experience is a plus.\nBackstage experience highly desired.\nAzure certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Administrator preferred.\n#LI-CH\n#LI-HYBRID\n\nAbout Our Firm\n\nWilliam Blair strives to attract qualified candidates who specialize in investment banking, investment management, private wealth management, and other strategic resource groups.
