This position will also monitor inventory levels and restock production lines using a first in first out methodology; consolidate SKUs to best utilize space; and cross train and back up co-workers as requested. This job description lists major areas of responsibility and additional job activities may be added at any time.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nReceives in and puts away incoming materials from suppliers following current procedures and practices and complying with a first in/first out (FIFO) methodology.\nConsolidates same SKUs into locations to best utilize space without jeopardizing safety and quality.\nReplenishes production lines and point-of-use storage locations.\nSafely operates a variety of material handling equipment.\nAssists in department improvement initiatives.\nExercises judgment in the planning and sequence of operation.\nFollows all clean up, maintenance, housekeeping, and safety procedures.\nOther duties as assigned\nRequirements for Effective Performance:\nHigh school diploma required (or equivalent) and additionally 1 to 3 years of experience in warehouse practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment.\nForklift certification preferred and must be knowledgeable about use of other warehouse equipment.\nMust have a moderate level of computer experience to access computer programs.\nMust have the ability to read, write, and add and subtract whole numbers.\nSkills/Abilities/Specifications:\nComprehension of simple TR instructions, both oral and written, pertaining to customer orders.\nEffectively communicate one on one and in group settings with other employees within the organization.\nApplies common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.\nAbility to work independently or as part of a team and follow established company procedures.\nBehavioral & Environmental Requirements:\nMaintain a positive work attitude. Zero Zone expects all employees to behave and communicate in a manner which will facilitate good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisor.\nSafety toe shoes and safety glasses are required while in production areas.\nRegularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the office and production areas; have use of hands and fingers to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
