The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care./ppJob Responsibilities:/pulliAssesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, when designated by unit assignment and consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost and impact./liliEducates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources./liliUtilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to United Health Services policy./liliShares in responsibility for productivity and effective resources utilization including staffing, time management, supplies and services./liliComplies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and United Health Services policies./liliActively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practices./liliActively engages in professional development, continuing nursing education, and completing all mandatory education requirements./liliIntegrates nursing research and current evidence into practice./liliProvides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students./liliWill follow all United Health Services Values./liliWill perform other duties as assigned./li/ulpSkills:/ppRequired Skills Experience:/pulliNursing (RN) experience of six (6) months - three (3) years./liliManagement Experience of zero (0) - three (3) years./liliFive plus (5) + years of direct experience./liliCollaboration./liliCommunication (verbal written)./liliJudgement/Critical Thinking./liliOrganizational Understanding H./liliPlanning (Organizing, Time Management)./liliProblem Solving./liliQuality./liliReliability./liliSafety and Risk Management./li/ulpPreferred Skills Experience:/pulliPrevious clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting./li/ulpEducation:/ppRequired Education:/pulliA graduate of an accredited school of Nursing./li/ulpPreferred Education:/pulliBachelor of Science degree in Nursing./li/ulpRequired Certifications Licensure:/pulliCurrent NYS RN License./liliBLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)./liliUnit-specific requirements are listed in the Compliance Matrix - please validate prior to candidate submission./li/ulpPreferred Certifications Licensure:/pulliProfessional certification in a related nursing specialty./liliRelevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned./li/ulpSchedule Notes: 12 hr nights; 36/week 13 weeks Epic experience preferred Submittal packet must include RS cover page, skills, copies of valid licenses/certifications, remove any company logos/ppMinimum Degree Required: Associates Degree (Community College, MBO)/ppHours Per Day: 12.00/ppHours Per Week 36./p/div
