The resident outcomes here are really small miracles, and they are all based in a foundation of extensive dementia training and knowledge. Job Responsibilities Include: Preparing and cooking food for residents and guests Learning and applying our dementia training method Building positive relationships with residents, guests and co-workers Providing a home-style atmosphere that is the highlight of our residents' days Maintaining the the kitchen as a clean, safe and sanitary space at all times. Assisting the kitchen manager with organization, inventory, and planning Supporting food and beverage needs for family and community events Qualifications and Qualities Needed High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) One (1) to Three (3) years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or company standards Ability to read and follow recipes, cleaning schedules and logs Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills. Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures Commitment to quality service and excellence Ability to take direction and work independently as needed Ability to present a professional, positive image (i.e. great attitude) High ethical and business standards Come join our amazing team today!
