This position will control production and load out of material produced in a ready-mix concrete plant. Individual will operate the process according to customer specifications and delivery schedules while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.\n\nJob Duties\n\nAccurately batch concrete using computerized batch system.\n\nInput mix designs, adjust moisture content, and add admixtures as required.\n\nMonitor aggregate and cement weights, water/cement ratios, and slump/admixture dosages.\n\nMaintain time and material records.\n\nSchedule and ensure timely delivery of oil, fuel, aggregates, admixtures, and supplies to the plant.\n\nStart up and/or shut down the plant daily.\n\nResponsible for efficient working condition of plant equipment.\n\nPerform routine service and maintenance.\n\nResponsible for daily plant inspections, repair, and maintenance.\n\nAssist plant management with on-site leadership and coordination for employees, drivers, and customers.\n\nAssist in the performance of scheduled safety meetings.\n\nEnsure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.\n\nProperly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required.\n\nMinimum of 2-4 years of related experience (construction background desired): or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.\n\nPrevious experience in operating various types of heavy mobile equipment is preferred.\n\nExperience with mechanical repairs, accurate math skills and communications skills are required.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite.\n\nStrong problem solving and analytical skills, with the desire to seek solutions.\n\nAbility to maintain composure in all situations.\n\nMust be a strong team player and gain the trust and support of peers.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNone\n\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
