The candidate must reference their ability and experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team.\nRapid Response Sr. Network Engineer has a pivotal role within the IT Operation team, focusing on ensuring the enterprise transport network's integrity, security, and efficiency. This role involves extensive collaboration with defense and government entities to ensure network assets are properly baselined, configured, and managed in the DoD standards, specifically adhering to the DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nEnsure the baseline configuration of all network assets – including hardware, software, and documentation is thoroughly documented, configured according to DoD engineering standards, and accurately represented in the Government-provided system.\n\nDevelop and maintain the CMDB to support IT management practices such as Asset, Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Capacity, Operations, Project, and Security Management, ensuring compliance with MOAs/MOUs/SLAs.\n\nTrack warranty and licensing details for all hardware and software products across their lifecycle.\n\nEnsure seamless integration of the configuration management system and database with systems for other services/agencies, providing necessary access to designated personnel.\n\nProduce and submit monthly asset and configuration management reports detailing all changes to hardware and software baselines, including change status and funding details.\n\nQualifications/Experience:\n3+ years of primary role operating, troubleshooting, and installing network routers and switches.\n\n3+ years of primary role designing and architecting routed and switched networks.\n\n3+ years DoD environment\n\nOutstanding mathematics and IT abilities\n\nConfiguring and installing various network devices and services\n\nMonitoring network performance and resource utilization, trending, capacity planning\n\nUse of current and emergent network design principles and protocols\n\nExperience with network virtualization technologies.\n\nExperience with multi-tenant network architectures.\n\nFamiliarity with a wide variety of network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendors.\n\nScripting languages and coding for network threshold events\n\nActive TS/SCI Clearance\n\nEducation/Certifications:\nBachelor's degree in information system, Engineering, or equivalent.\n\nMaster's degree preferred.\n\nAt least one nationally recognized certification for senior network administrations/engineers/architects tied to the proposed solution's routers and switches.\n\nInformation Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M http://iase.disa.mil/iawip/Pag...
