At Badger Meter, your contributions will ripple far beyond the workplace - creating lasting change for people and the planet.\n\nWhat You Will Contribute:\n\nThe Assembler II is responsible for assembling parts according to specified Work Instructions and/or Drawings and exhibits the ability to effectively complete critical component assemblies. This position may be required to rotate throughout the facility in a variety of assembly tasks.\nJob Duties:\nUse basic Hand, battery, electric and pneumatic powered tools to complete assemblies.\nUse circular saws, deburring tools to complete modified assemblies. (Utility and Flow Only)\nUse laser etcher, dot peen etcher and engraver to complete modified assemblies to customer specifications. (Utility and Flow Only)\nCalibrate gas to test sensors. (Analytical Technologies Only)\nUse basic printing programs to complete customer orders when required for a specific job and make adjustments when needed on your own.\nUse Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity, view work instructions and report completed work.\nNavigate through basic LX screens to identify Inventory requirements and status as needed and utilize system as required to make adjustments.\nTake initiative to ensure priority items are completed and when needed seek out additional information from lead or Supervisor.\nParticipate and Contribute to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost continuous improvement efforts.\nTrain others in the department.\nPerform basic 5S and Lean concepts to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workplace\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Degree/GED Preferred\n3+ years of experience in assembly/manufacturing desired\nQualifications:\nUnderstand gluing and centering to specific tolerances which includes multiple areas/products required\nIf applicable, ability to use function generators and multimeter test equipment\nBasic proficiency with computers including an ERP system and Microsoft Office required\nCompetencies:\nCollaboration: Work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.\nCommunication: Convey information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the message; listen actively to others.\nInitiating Action: Take prompt action to accomplish work goals; take action to achieve results beyond what is required; be proactive.\nWork Standards: Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.\nWorking Conditions:\nWork is performed in a Manufacturing environment\nDepending on the assigned department, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and complete an audiogram test\nThose working in the Aerospace department must be able to pass a Vision, Color Vision, and Depth perception test\nThis position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.\nMust be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.\nCompetitive Total Rewards at Badger Meter:\nCompetitive Pay\nAnnual Bonus\nEligible for Annual Pay Increases\nComprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental Coverage\n15 days Paid Time Off + 11 Paid Holidays\nTwo Ways to Save for Retirement: Badger Meter contributes 25 cents for every dollar you contribute to the plan, up to 7% of your eligible compensation.
