Instrumentation Technician
Job Description:
JCA is seeking a skilled and motivated Instrumentation Technician to join our dynamic team. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of instrumentation and control systems used in our industrial processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems.
Ensure that calibration paperwork, instrument files and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.
Evaluate the current calibration cycles and make appropriate changes to optimize the calibration program.
Develop and maintain a detailed training program for the team in order to develop team's knowledge in all areas of the plant.
Develop, revise, and review SOPs for related areas.
Design, install, configure, and start-up multiple instruments and microprocessor based controllers used for process control.
Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems for computer based process control systems.
Maintain an up-to-date cGMP training book.
Complete PLC, DCS, BMS, and MMI programming and advanced troubleshooting.
Start-up of new equipment to ensure it meets all instrumentation design specifications.
Assist with the development and lead in the execution of validation documents for instrumentation equipment.
