This role is essential to ensuring compliance with internal standards, project specifications and applicable industry codes and regulations. The Level 1 Quality Engineer will work closely with the Quality Manager, SMR Project Teams, Engineers, project managers and suppliers. The Quality Engineer may be assigned additional QA responsibilities as needed to support the goals of the SMR team. This position reports directly to the SMR Quality Manager.\n\nLocation: Camden, NJ (On‑site) – Relocation Assistance Available!\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\nAssist in the development and tracking of key quality metrics and reporting to management.\nReview purchase orders and incoming material certifications for compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in internal and external audits, surveys and surveillances.\nReview of quality records to verify acceptability and compliance.\nSupport nonconformance investigations and corrective/preventive action processes.\nCollaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.\nAssist in training personnel on quality processes.\nPerform oversight at vendor facilities and SMR construction activities.\n\nRequirements:\n\nBS degree in Engineering, preferred in Mechanical, Electrical Civil/Struct. or Industrial Engineering,\nor AS degree with one year of quality assurance related work,\nor a high school diploma plus three (3) years of quality assurance related work.\nFamiliarity with industry codes and standards such as ISO 9001, NQA-1, 10CFR 50 App. B, 10CFR21, and ASME Section III & Section VIII,.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.\nAbility to travel Domestically and Internationally.\n\nPreferred Requirements:\n\nPrevious commercial Nuclear Power Plant operating experience.\nPrevious commercial Nuclear Power Plant construction experience.\nTraining or familiarity in corrective action processes.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.\nExperience with programmatic controls and detailed procedures.\nKnowledge of Non-Destructive Examination Methods (e.g., VT, PT, MT, UT, RT, etc.)\nKnowledge of M&TE and inspection/testing processes.\n\nA Generation Ahead by Design™\nInvesting in people who power the future.\n\nWe believe great work deserves great rewards.
