This individual will provide construction management and oversight for facility improvement projects supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing construction projects within active healthcare environments and is knowledgeable in federal construction standards, quality assurance, scheduling, and project execution.\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing federal contractor dedicated to delivering innovative technology, healthcare, and engineering solutions that improve mission outcomes for our government partners.\nProject Duration: One-year base period with one year option periods.\nSalary: $115,000 - $135,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications\nKey Responsibilities\nReview construction contract documents, drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to ensure compliance.\nProvide construction oversight throughout all phases of the project.\nPerform constructability reviews and evaluate impacts to ongoing hospital operations.\nMonitor project schedules, budgets, contractor performance, and change orders while providing recommendations to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).\nConduct routine site inspections to verify quality, safety, and compliance with contract requirements.\nReview requests for information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and proposed design modifications.\nProvide recommendations related to value engineering, constructability, sequencing, and long-lead procurement items.\nAttend weekly and monthly project meetings and prepare detailed project status reports.\nCoordinate activities among architects, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders.\nEnsure construction activities comply with applicable VA standards, federal regulations, building codes, and project specifications.\nIdentify project risks and develop recommendations to minimize schedule delays and cost impacts.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.\nMinimum of 10 years of combined design and construction management experience.\nExperience managing construction projects within active healthcare or hospital facilities.\nExperience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) construction projects strongly preferred.\nWorking knowledge of VA Technical Information Library (TIL), VA Design Manuals, and VA Specifications.\nStrong understanding of construction contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance, and building codes.\nDemonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.\nExperience supporting federal healthcare construction programs.\nFamiliarity with active hospital renovation projects and infection control requirements.\nWhy Join Emerging Tech?\nAt Emerging Tech, we're passionate about solving complex challenges that strengthen federal missions and improve the lives of those who serve our country.
