Agriculture Specialist

An Agriculture Specialist is a specific community development role focused on empowering communities through relevant farming practices.Passions:Meeting the felt needs of the marginalizedDemonstrating the love of Christ in tangible ways Skills:Knowledge of farming methods that are appropriate in the context of the developing worldTraining and mentoring othersWorking creatively with the resources at hand Many marginalized people live in rural areas and rely entirely on the land for survival. Through agricultural training, farmers are able to implement new strategies based on best practices for growing crops in their location. Training, combined with micro-finance services and access to markets, gives subsistence farmers the ability to increase production, acquire land, and improve their livelihoods. This cycle strengthens the health of entire rural communities. Most of our teammates raise support on behalf of Pioneer Bible Translators for their ministry roles. Support raising is not about money - it's about prayerfully inviting people everywhere to participate in what God is doing to fulfill His mission.We provide training to help you:Gain confidence in communicating the Biblical foundation for living on support, asking others to invest, and understanding " The God Ask ."Learn best practices and gain confidence in sharing your presentation.Rehearse with your peers and make real calls for appointments.Experience the value of meeting face to face with people and asking for support.Discover how to cultivate lasting relationships with your supporters.
