A variety of experience across roles is a plus, especially in areas such as application development, Security, Network, storage and data management.\r\nAt least 5 years of experience in/as Solution Architect and solution Design in relatively large organizations.\r\nKey Experience and Skills\r\nAt least 5 years of hands-on experience with two or more of the following disciplines but not limited to: SAN, Citrix, VMware, Dell Blade servers, Network, Security, Windows 2003/2008, UNIX/Linux, AIX, Solaris.\r\nHadoop and Netezza.\r\nExperience with data center consolidation and application migrations.\r\nExperience with Virtualization in VMWare or UNIX LPAR.\r\nExperience with Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Excel with ability to generate documentation and presentations.\r\nExperience with MS SharePoint and other automation tools is big plus.\r\nAbility to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary.\r\nStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\r\nAble to juggle a broad set of competing functional-level requirements while also considering the near- and long-term impact on nonfunctional requirements such as performance, scalability, and reliability.\r\nLeadership and mentorship skills. Interpersonal skills are a must. Demonstrated ability to earn trust from others, to influence their teams in the right direction, and to know when to compromise.\r\nStrong communication skills: a solution architect needs the ability to communicate across different domains, articulate a solution to all parties, and stitch that solution together.\r\nUse creativity in applying these skills.\r\nQualifications\r\nEducational requirements include at least a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, information technology or a related discipline. Certifications related to system and network architecture through popular technology providers such as Cisco, IBM, HP, EMC, VMWare, BMC, Citrix and Microsoft are an important plus.
