{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"0dc53372affda4ab3b869e5f","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0dc53372affda4ab3b869e5f","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0dc53372affda4ab3b869e5f","title":"I & E Engineer","description":"I & E Engineer @ Continental Carbon\nMain Function:\nResponsible for improving process controls reliability.\nResponsible for continuous improvement of instrumentation and controls.\nRespond to and resolve instrumentation and control issues.\nResponsible for continuous improvement of plant electrical power distribution and motor control systems.\nResponsible for development and implementation of plant electrical Capital and Expense projects.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nManage the development and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.\nDevelopment of instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets and specifications, to be in full compliance with recognized industry and safety standards.\nAssist in the technical development of assigned plant project P&IDs.\nAssist in the development of I &E project schedules and manpower requirements.\nProvide support for procurement of instrument items.\nLearn plant Delta V DCS system in order to become plant lead in Administration of system.\nAssist Maintenance Superintendent in developing plant I&E Technicians skills and capabilities in the operation and maintenance of plant instrumentation and electrical systems.\nImprove reliability of controls, instrumentation, and emission monitoring equipment.\nDevelop and implement project(s) to upgrade plant motor control centers and power distribution throughout the plant.\nAssist with trouble shooting of electrical problems (motors, wiring, etc.) to find root cause and implement corrective action.\nAssist with annual Unit Turn Around’s as needed.\nDevelop programs to prevent accidents and maintain safe working conditions.\nRespond when and where needed during emergency downtime situations or when problems occur.\nOccasional oversight of Maintenance Department I&E Group.\nCharacteristics\nHigh energy level, team player, excellent work ethic, with strong project management skills.\nBuild and enhance relationships with electrical contractors, vendors, suppliers to improve access to needed parts/support to improve plant reliability.\nEducation and Experience\nB. S.
