We aim to have a leadership and workforce that is reflective of the communities we serve.\nCompensation\n$18.00 - $22.00/hour\nOffers based on education and years of relevant experience\nHours/Schedule\nFull-Time, 35 hour work week\nMonday - Friday\nPosition Specific Duties/Responsibilities:\nEnsure accurate registration of patient demographics to billing system and complete insurance verification across assigned programs. Call patients to inform them of their copay and deductible responsibility.\nVerify insurance eligibility 48 hours prior to client’s scheduled appointments and inform clinician and client if insurance is inactive. Verify new clients added to the schedule after two days and communicate with clinician.\nReview patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information.\nProduce billing statements for co-pays and co-insurances. Respond to billing inquiries on a daily basis. Work collaboratively with the Medical Billing Supervisor as well as the Clinic Supervisor. Adhere to HIPAA rules at all times.\nGather data and prepare reports as requested by the Medical Billing Supervisor to include insurance adjustments and writeoffs, final notices and collections, and balance statements.\nOther duties as assigned\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to work in an Electronic Medical Record.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products.\nMust be very detailed driven, well organized, and have strong analytical skills.\nUnderstands and values the importance of the “team” in accomplishing goals.\nMust possess a high degree of discretion in dealing with confidential client information & adhere to all HIPPA guidelines.\nAbility to work collaboratively toward an effective performance improvement process designed to improve program efficiencies and effectiveness for the clients and their family resources.\nAble to handle highly confidential information.\nProficiency with typing and computer skills.\nMust have excellent organizational and communication/interaction skills\nAbility to accept supervision and collaborate as part of a team.\nAbility to be flexible and adapt to change.\nQualifications\n2 years’ experience in medical billing in a healthcare setting, account reconciliation and collections\nAn EEO/AA Agency\nWe want to emphasize that the preferred qualifications are not required and that we are committed to helping our future colleagues develop these preferred skills.
