This position will support The Orientation program at Pace University's New York City campus. Throughout the academic year, Orientation Graduate Assistant can work closely with the Student Engagement staff in supervising the Orientation staff, facilitating the recruitment process, and planning Orientation Week programming.Advising* Serve as an advisor for 10-12 student organizations.Orientation Week Programming/Events:Coordinate with Student Engagement to plan and staff programming during Orientation Week in SeptemberAssist with orientation assessment and Orientation Week program developmentPerform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Student EngagementOrientation Planning:* Assist with the preparation, management and logistical support of Spring orientation programs in January* Supervise (5) Orientation Leader and (2) Orientation student staff during the SpringOrientation Leader/Assistant Recruitment and Selection Process:* Assist in the planning and execution of Orientation Leader recruitment and interview process* Coordinate Group and Individual Interviews for Orientation Leader and Assistant interview processOther Responsibilities: Support the Office in all university related programs and functionsProficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelMust be able to handle confidential information in a discreet mannerStrong written and verbal communication skillsReliable and patient with visitorsOffice experience a plusAbility to work independentlyStrong customer service and organizational skills
