Responsible for ongoing maintenance and changes for the automated systems.\n\nJOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS\n\nIntegration of 3rd party technologies into Viega Distribution network.\n\nDefine, maintain and lead improvement control processes including but not limited to workshops; Kaizen; Lean activities to organize and manage workplace; lean logistics methodologies for cost reduction, streamlined material flow and continuous improvement; establish standardized work procedures and continually check processes for improvement.\n\nTrains, leads and monitors lean implementation throughout the distribution network; develops internally a Six Sigma lean organization driven to improve performance, cost, throughput and quality control metrics.\n\nResponsible for activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision-making tools; ensure logistics processes are efficient and effective.\n\nDefines of automated logistics processes in support of distribution tasks that are migrating from a manual to automated & semi-automated environment.\n\nDefines and reviews logistics processes to ensure full utilization of equipment and efficient set up of machines; ensures operating at optimum efficiency, including but not limited to cleaning, removing, reassembling and storing of tools; ensures processes are effective and efficient so tools and machines are available as schedule demands.\n\nEvaluates, promotes and administers ideas submitted by logistics employees.\n\nQuality Improvement\n\nApplies logistics and quality control techniques including, but not limited to Six Sigma, Lean, TQM and SPC methodologies to address issues such as operational/quality process improvement and facility design or layout.\n\nLeads and provides support in the design and development of quality improvement metrics for distribution.\n\nProvides support and expertise in implementing best practices, developing and implementing quality improvement programs, test plan creation and execution, performance modeling and measurements, and other quality process improvement and assessment initiatives.\n\nReviews and analyzes quality and measurement processes to determine where technological improvements would benefit operations, cost reduction, or quality; plans and administers internal and external audits.\n\nSupports team members at all facilities in consistency of quality and process improvement.\n\nPerforms detailed root cause analysis for repetitive errors in the process to determine appropriate corrective and preventative actions.\n\nKPI Special Projects\n\nLeads and coordinates activities to ensure knowledge creation/sharing and integration within distribution and throughout the organization.\n\nParticipates in developing work programs and project activities such as assessments, position papers, brainstorming, making presentations and special studies.\n\nCoordinate and organize project updates with all Managers and Project leaders.\n\nOther\n\nAttends meetings as required and/or assigned.\n\nPerforms other duties as required and/or assigned\n\nSpecial Job Dimensions\n\nWill be required to travel up to 30% of the time.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\n\nKnowledge of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services\n\nKnowledge of advanced statistics and its applications\n\nKnowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Advanced level MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI\n\nStrong understanding of process improvement and technical automation\n\nExpertise in implementing best practices, developing, and implementing quality improvement programs, test plan creation and execution, internal audits, and a variety of other quality and/or process improvement initiatives with experience working with large scale projects\n\nStrong experience in solution development and implementation\n\nFlexibility, adaptability, and ability to deal with unstructured situations on a consistent basis\n\nStrong interpersonal skills\n\nDemonstrates ability to work and influence cross-functionally\n\nAbility to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization\n\nAbility to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude with those you interact with;
