This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader with strong construction industry experience who enjoys partnering with operations while driving financial performance and process improvements.\n\nResponsibilities\nOversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, job costing, inventory, and fixed assets\nManage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes\nPrepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and management reporting\nEnsure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls\nOversee job costing, WIP reporting, inventory valuation, and margin analysis\nCoordinate external audits and maintain relationships with CPA firms\nLead and mentor the accounting team while improving processes and workflows\nPartner with project management and executive leadership to provide financial insights and operational support\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance\nCPA or CPA-eligible preferred\n5+ years of accounting experience within the construction industry\nStrong knowledge of job costing and WIP reporting\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Index/Match, and financial modeling\nERP experience required; Vista Viewpoint is highly preferred\nStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills\nAbility to collaborate across accounting and project operations in a fast-paced environment\n\nThis is an outstanding opportunity for a construction accounting professional looking to take on a leadership role with a growing organization that values collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.\n\nDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
