In this role, you will provide behavioral health services to patients managing obesity and related chronic conditions while partnering with medical providers, dietitians, and fitness professionals.You will help patients address behavioral, emotional, and psychological barriers to long-term health success using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.Key Responsibilities Provide individual behavioral health assessments and ongoing therapyDevelop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with care team goalsSupport patients with:Lifestyle change and weight managementEmotional eating and behavior modificationChronic disease coping strategiesCollaborate with interdisciplinary care team (NPs, RDs, Trainers)Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Epic (EHR)Meet productivity and quality benchmarks established by CoreLife and Novant HealthEducate patients on sustainable behavior change strategiesQualificationsEducationMaster’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field (required)Licensure An active North Carolina license is required:LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor)LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)Experience 1-3 years of experience in:Outpatient behavioral health orIntegrated/medical setting (preferred)SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExperience working with diverse patient populationsComfort using electronic health records (Epic preferred)Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environmentNovant Health Provider BenefitsAs a Novant Health Medical Group employee, you can expect:Competitive compensationComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefitsRetirement plan optionsCME allowanceMalpractice coverageAccess to Epic (system-wide EHR)Emphasis on work-life balanceAdditional RequirementsCompletion of De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication Strategies (NEC0170) within 3 months of hire (if applicable)Ability to work with behavioral health age-specific populationsWork ScheduleFull-time, 4-day workweek (10-hour shifts)No weekends
