They work at the\ndirection of the Project Manager and perform both field and office tasks in support of the\nproject and project team. Their goal is to maximize project safety, efficiency and\nprofitability.\n\nJob Duties:\nSafety – participate in daily safety tours and toolbox meetings\nPersonnel – work closely with field crews, field supervision, surveyors, QC staff,\nsafety staff, and other project engineers to support and execute the construction\nwork\nEstimating – assist in the development of cost estimates and pricing change order\nwork\nContract administration – subcontract and material management\nDocument control – maintain control of all project documentation\nTrend tracking – tracking of quantities, costs, and progress\nEquipment and material management\nScheduling – scheduling and work plan development\nDocument review – review plans and other technical documents\nCloseout – assist the project team with closeout of the project\nOther duties as assigned\n\nTechnical/Professional Knowledge (Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience)\nBachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field\n3-10 years’ experience in construction (underground preferable)\nStrong communication skills\nStrong understanding of plans and specifications\nWorking knowledge of cost versus budget.\nComputer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel,\nOutlook, PowerPoint) and other construction-specific software programs\nWorking knowledge on computer estimating systems (i.e Heavy Bid, Hardollar, etc.)\nFamiliarity with Bluebeam, Autocad, P6 or any scheduling program\nDemonstrates flexibility and is adaptable to change\nGeneral knowledge of office protocol, routines and procedures.\nProfessional and polished\nStrong attention to detail, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills\nAbility to meet deadlines\nSelf-motivated and proactive.
