Work collaboratively with the Surgery GME Team, Program Director, Associate Directors, Director of Surgical Education, Faculty, Trainees and other individuals within the hospitals or medical school.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nAssist with tasks for successful coordination of surgical residencies and fellowships.\nDistribute instructions, track compliance, and follow up, for resident and faculty activities.\nAssist with tasks to meet accreditation requirements.\nGenerate reports of information as requested.\nCoordinate program meetings: reserve rooms, order meals, email correspondence, take notes, and maintain documentation.\nCoordinate educational activities: logistical coordination and update calendars.\nReference Surgical Board Regulations as needed to complete assigned tasks.\nOrganize recruitment processes.\nOffer support for trainee personnel matters.\nCoordinate smooth transitions for trainees entering and exiting the program.\nCreate accurate, informational materials for distribution.\nOrganize and proctor educational exams.\nReference program files to complete information requests for outside parties. May be via submission of a paper form or data entry into electronic system.\nRespond to faculty and trainee requests for information and assistance.\nProvide administrative support as needed.\nAssist with fiscal operations.\nAssist with annual quality improvement process.\nReference national society information and recommendations as needed.\nCoordinate faculty development initiatives\nOrganize wellness initiatives.\nCommunicate GME related information through social media, web site, email, advertising, etc.\nAssists and provides back-up support to other personnel, including GME coordinators, and other personnel as needed / assigned by supervisor.\nComplete special projects as assigned.\nAlert GME leadership of any identified issues so appropriate action can be taken.\nMaintains normal office activities: scanning, copying, faxing, filing, order supplies\nMaintains discretion relative to confidential and sensitive information.\n\nEducation:\n\nBachelor’s Degree preferred.
