Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and document processes to maintain operational excellence and continuous improvement.Primary Responsibilities\r\nSupport the design, deployment, and maintenance of hybrid cloud infrastructures across on-premises and commercial/government cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) utilizing IaaS and PaaS solutions.\r\nAdminister and optimize virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, and cloud-native virtualization technologies.\r\nAssist with automating deployments, configurations, and resource provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.\r\nCollaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams to support integration efforts and ensure consistent enterprise solutions.\r\nImplement and support containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes within cloud and hybrid environments.\r\nMonitor cloud and virtualization environments to maintain system availability, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.\r\nTroubleshoot infrastructure, application, and system issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions as needed.\r\nApply security best practices including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation while supporting compliance with frameworks such as RMF, NIST, and ISO 27001.\r\nSupport and maintain CI/CD pipelines and assist with automation efforts across the software development lifecycle.\r\nConfigure and maintain monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) to support operational monitoring and incident response activities.\r\nMaintain technical documentation including system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.\r\nProvide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.\r\nWork closely with engineering, operations, and program stakeholders to support infrastructure solutions aligned with mission and business requirements.Basic Qualifications:\r\nRequires BS and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.\r\nMust have a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).\r\nMust have an advanced cloud certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer for example).\r\nMust have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCIPreferred Skills and Certifications:\r\nCloud Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer.\r\nSecurity Certifications: CISSP, CEH, GIAC or Cloud Security Automation (GCSA).\r\nExperience with security frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST 800-53).\r\nKnowledge of scripting or programming languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.\r\nFamiliarity with log management and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, or ELK stack).\r\nExperience with SIEM and/or SOAR tools and capabilities.If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
