CNC Operator
Job Description
As part of the talented CNC team, you will operate machinery in our Fabrication Department. Successful candidates are team oriented with a continuous improvement mindset. We have openings onboth first and second shift a 2nd shift position, Monday – Thursday from 2:00pm-12:30am. The first shift position is Monday-Friday 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Essential Functions:
Running Machinery: Participates in the day-to-day operations of CNC mills, lathes, saws, and other fabrication equipment. Performs machine setups, product checks, and has the ability to make minor adjustments to machines to ensure continuous production.
Training: Instructs team members on the operation of machinery with focuses on safety, quality, and delivery. Assists with maintaining training logs.
Testing: Utilizing test equipment and control plans to test assembled products for safety, function, and compliance.
Safety and Housekeeping: Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of work cells. Takes charge in 5s efforts. Inspect work cells throughout the shift and inform other team members of areas for improvement.
Communication: Escalates issues in a timely manner. Works with team to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Work in team environment to achieve goals.
Quality: Maintain high quality standards; continuously monitor your production quality; visually inspect or measure parts throughout the production run; set up all required gauges and checks; inspect parts throughout the shift and address quality issues with the appropriate personnel.
Problem Solving: Report of any mechanical or system problems to maintenance and leadership. Work with Supervisors and Maintenance to assist in problem solving and resolutions on a daily basis.
Relief: Performs work of Operator as schedule allows.
Perform any other assigned duties as required throughout the day.
Helps in other parts of Fabrication as-needed.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
2+ years of experience in CNC environment
Experience with reading prints and measuring parts using various calibrated tools
Ability to identify and diagnose common failures
Ability to operate fabrication equipment
Ability to use various measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, pin gauges)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Communicate effectively both verbally and written
Dedicated to the personal safety of everyone

Teamwork and collaboration-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal certification or training in CNC
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
The role typically involves standing and walking for extended periods
Exposure to moderate to high noise levels, coolants, lubricants, and chemical odors is typical.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety footwear is required.Education:
