Candidates must currently live in or around one of these areas or be willing to relocate.\n\nDuration:\n6 months\n\nDuties:\nNetView Administration & Support:\n\nAdminister and maintain IBM NetView for z/OS environments.\n\nConfigure and support NetView automation infrastructure, definitions, policies, and operational controls.\n\nMonitor NetView performance, availability, and operational effectiveness.\n\nSupport highly available enterprise mainframe environments.\n\nAutomation Development:\n\nDesign and develop automation solutions using REXX, CLIST, and NetView Command Lists (CMDLISTs).\n\nDevelop automated recovery procedures and operational workflows.\n\nCreate reusable automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.\n\nEvent & Message Automation:\n\nImplement and maintain event-driven and message-based automation solutions.\n\nConfigure and maintain NetView Automation Tables (AUTOTBL).\n\nDevelop message-processing rules to identify, classify, and respond to system events.\n\nImplement automated notification and escalation processes.\n\nMonitoring & Incident Management:\n\nImplement proactive monitoring and alerting solutions.\n\nSupport enterprise event correlation and alert management.\n\nParticipate in production support and operational incident resolution.\n\nPerform root cause analysis for infrastructure and automation failures.\n\nDevelop automation to improve operational resiliency and minimize manual operator intervention.\n\nInfrastructure Integration:\n\nIntegrate NetView automation with z/OS Communications Server, VTAM, TCP/IP, OMEGAMON, and enterprise monitoring platforms.\n\nSupport automation across Sysplex environments.\n\nCollaborate with operations, network, security, and systems programming teams.\n\nSkills:\n\nIBM NetView for z/OS administration and automation\n\nNetView Automation Tables (AUTOTBL)\n\nNetView Command Lists (CMDLISTs)\n\nNetView event management and message automation\n\nAdvanced REXX programming\n\nCLIST development\n\nAutomation scripting and event-processing logic\n\nAutomated recovery procedures\n\nz/OS Communications Server\n\nVTAM\n\nTCP/IP\n\nOMEGAMON integration\n\nEnterprise monitoring and event-management solutions\n\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to design and implement event-driven operational automation\n\nExperience:\n\n7+ years of experience with the IBM z/OS operating system.\n\n5+ years of hands‑on IBM NetView administration and automation experience.\n\nDemonstrated experience developing automation using REXX, CLIST, and NetView automation.\n\nProven experience designing event-driven operational automation solutions.\n\nExperience supporting highly available enterprise mainframe environments.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and implement long-term resiliency improvements.\n\nPreferred experience with IBM System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS).\n\nPreferred experience supporting large-scale financial services or banking environments.\n\nKnowledge of RACF and z/OS security controls preferred.\n\nFamiliarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow preferred.\n\nExperience supporting 24x7 enterprise production environments preferred.\n\nKnowledge of CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and related z/OS subsystems preferred.\n\nWork Authorization: US Citizens or Green Card candidates only.\n\nEducation:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
