This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, participating in monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.\r\nSupports and follows the SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines of the food safety system.\r\nFollows company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), practices and Sonoco's Global Code of Conduct.\r\nSupervises and coordinates the employees and activities of the electrical maintenance department.\r\nProvides and plans technical training and establishes individual development plans.\r\nPlans and estimates electrical jobs.\r\nRecommends procedure revisions when necessary to fully utilize assigned personnel and equipment.\r\nDetermines procedures for maintenance, installation, modification and repair of electrical assignments.\r\nInspects work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and electrical assignments.\r\nExamines electrical services for proper working procedures.\r\nPlans and executes electrical dispatches using the L2L system.\r\nRequests and adds electrical components and materials to inventory as needed.\r\nPlans and executes electrical PM work.\r\nOversees the electrical installation and maintenance program, including preventative, of plant machines.\r\nIdentifies inefficiencies and potential electrical problems and coordinates with subordinates and contractors to resolve issues.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nThis position will be located in our Columbus, Ohio facility.\r\nWe'd love to hear from you if:\r\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.\r\nWorking knowledge of electrical controls such as PLC's, drives, motors, HMI's and communication switches in addition to electrical power distribution\r\nAbility to apply intensive and diversified evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.\r\nAbility to effectively instruct and train other employees.\r\nAbility to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and written instructions.\r\nExperience troubleshooting 24 VDC, 120 AC and 480 AC
