Our commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence has established Good Sense Foods as a trusted name in the CPG industry.¨NBSP;**Position Summary**The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the quality and food safety systems within our food manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with BRC standards, FDA regulations, and all applicable food safety, quality and customer requirements. You’ll have the opportunity to lead meaningful improvements, influence company-wide processes, and help shape the future of a growing brand dedicated to better-for-you food solutions.**Key Responsibilities**Lead, manage, and maintain the facility’s BRC certification programs, ensuring ongoing compliance and audit readinessOversee and continuously improve the Food Safety Plan (HACCP/Preventive Controls)Ensure compliance with all applicable FDA, USDA, and state regulatory requirements, including FSMAManage internal and external audits, including BRC certification audits, regulatory inspections, and customer auditsDevelop, implement, and manage quality assurance policies, procedures, and programsAnalyze quality data and lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Partner with Operations, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams to ensure adherence to GMPs, sanitation standards, and food safety practicesOversee supplier quality and approval programs, including ingredient and packaging complianceLead and develop the Quality team, including training, coaching, and performance managementEnsure proper handling of non-conforming products, holds, and releasesManage customer complaints and drive continuous improvement initiativesMaintain documentation and records to meet regulatory and certification requirementsStay current on changes in food safety regulations and industry best practices**Qualifications**7+ years of progressive experience in Quality Manager/Supervisor roles within a food manufacturing environmentDirect experience working in a BRC- and/or SQF-certified facility is requiredStrong knowledge of FDA regulations, FSMA (Preventive Controls), GMPs, and HACCP principlesProven experience managing third-party audits and regulatory inspectionsStrong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ability to implement and sustain continuous improvement initiativesExperience with root cause analysis methodologies**Preferred Qualifications**Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related fieldPCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) certificationHACCP certificationExperience in ready-to-eat (RTE) or high-risk food manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of allergen control programs and environmental monitoring programs**Key Competencies**Strong regulatory and audit expertiseDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsEffective communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentHigh level of accountability and ownershipOccasional extended hours during audits or production needs**Work Environment**Based in a food manufacturing facility environmentRegular presence on the production floor is requiredOccasional extended hours during audits or production needs**Salary Range:**The expected annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000. This range reflects various factors such as education, skills, work experience, certifications, and more.
