Perform mid- and final-inspection processes. Must have a good understanding of GD&T, shop math, blueprint reading, MS Office, and machining knowledge. You will be expected to interpret customer drawings, specifications and follow Travelers.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nDemonstrated proficiency with surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, profilometers and any inspection equipment found within an aerospace machine shop.\r\nBlueprint reading ability.\r\nMachine shop math knowledge.\r\nPerform First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102.\r\nThorough knowledge of GD&T.\r\nReport safety concerns to Inspection team or quality Manager.\r\nIn-process inspect First Articles from machines.\r\nCollect measurement data for FAI reports.\r\nReview routers to ensure that upstream operations have been completed and signed off.\r\nCollect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (IPIRS).\r\nComplete discrepant red tags and any forms required for rejected parts.\r\nInspect incoming and outgoing materials for compliance, specifications, and conformance requirements.\r\nPerform surface plate and complex setups.\r\nExperience with CMM Romer arm. (Required)\r\nCompetencies\r\nCommunications – exhibits good listening, comprehension, written and verbal communication, keeping others adequately informed.\r\nCustomer Service – displays courtesy, manages difficult or emotional customers, meets commitments, responds promptly, solicits feedback.\r\nDependability – commits to doing best job, follows instruction, meets attendance and punctuality guidelines, takes responsibility for own actions.\r\nPlanning & Organization – integrates changes smoothly, plans for additional resources, prioritizes work activities, sets goals and objectives, uses time efficiently, works in an organized manner.\r\nQuality – fosters quality focus in others, improves processes, measures key outcomes, sets clear quality requirements, solicits and applies customer feedback.\r\nUse of Technology – adapts to new technologies, demonstrates required skills, keeps technical skills up to date, troubleshoots technological problems, uses technology to increase productivity.\r\nEducation & Experience\r\nHigh school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination. 3-5 years in manufacturing preferred. CMM operation with Romer arm (PC-DMIS software) desired.\r\nLanguage Ability\r\nRead a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Write and speak simple sentences in the English language.\r\nMathematical Ability\r\nCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\r\nReasoning Ability\r\nApply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\r\nComputer Skills\r\nIntermediate.\r\nCertificates & Licenses\r\nNone required; experience needed.\r\nSupervisory Responsibilities\r\nNone.\r\nWork Environment\r\nMust be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with loud equipment and various materials.\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
