Grondin & Sons One of Maine's premier family-owned businesses and a leader in civil site construction, heavy highway, commercial development projects, is seeking an Assistant to support the Project Management and Estimating team.\r\nThis job is ideal for: Someone who is well organized and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment\r\nSomeone who wants to work at an established and growing company\r\nSomeone who wants to feel a sense of accomplishment after a day's work\r\nResponsibilities: Assist with the preparation of project work plans and submittal documents\r\nAssist with solicitation of quotes, materials procurement, and equipment rental\r\nManage subcontract processes and serve as a point of contact for vendors and contractors\r\nInterpret engineering design documents and ensure compliance with project requirements\r\nField layout of DigSafe markings and managing the \"Call Before You Dig\" process\r\nPrepare and submit project schedules and permit applications\r\nCreate and maintain important databases, spreadsheets and perform data analysis\r\nCoordinate with field personnel and promote compliance with safety standards\r\nAttend pre-bid meetings and bid openings, and aid in the bid and estimating process\r\nOrganizing and printing project plans and specifications, prepare closeout documentation\r\nRequirements: Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel)\r\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\r\nSelf-motivated, ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects\r\nAble to work as part of a diverse project team and independently with limited supervision\r\nMust possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record\r\nEducation/Experience: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent experience\r\nExperience with Procore, HCSS and AGTEK is a plus\r\nPrior construction experience preferred, training will be provided for the right candidate\r\nWork Location: Office work primarily located at 11 Bartlett Road, Gorham, Maine 04038\r\nOccasional travel throughout Southern Maine will be required during working hours\r\nUse of a company vehicle and/or mileage reimbursement\r\nR.J.
