You will be commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. In order to perform your task you will utilize your knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts. This position affords you the opportunity to work with internal and external partners ranging from new facility set ups to existing facility retro fits. Trane affords you the opportunity to work directly for a leading manufacturer, giving you access to technical support, training on newest technology and comprehensive career paths with opportunity for growth.\n\nWhat You Will Do\n\nInstall, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair applied chiller systems and associated HVAC equipment.\n\nDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.\n\nEvaluate system operation and recommend repairs, upgrades, or efficiency improvements.\n\nCommunicate clearly and consistently to customers and appropriate internal team stakeholders.\n\nEnsure all work is performed in compliance with safety policies, environmental regulations, and company standards.\n\nSupport emergency service calls and respond to customer issues in a timely manner.\n\nMaintain company tools, test equipment, service vehicle, and parts as needed.\n\nWhat You Will Bring\n\nA High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required. Technical School or formal training is preferred.\n\nOperating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).\n\nMust possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.\n\nEPA Certification Preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer etc.).\n\nExperience servicing applied chillers, large-tonnage HVAC systems, or commercial/industrial mechanical equipment preferred.\n\nExperience with centrifugal, screw, scroll, or absorption chillers preferred.\n\nKnowledge of refrigeration cycles, compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, motors, and electrical systems.\n\nAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams, piping schematics, and technical service literature.\n\nAbility to use hand tools, power tools, gauges, and diagnostic instruments.\n\nFamiliarity with building automation systems and chiller controls.\n\nAnnual Base Salary Range Or Hourly Base Pay Range: $29.91 - $55.61\n\nCompensation Type: Hourly\n\nIncentive Eligible: No\n\nSales Commission Eligible: No\n\nDisclaimer\nWe strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
