Job Primary PurposeProvide instructional assistance to special education students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing of classroom activities.QualificationsEducation/Certification:Applicant must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificateHave met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning*Valid Texas educational aide certificateSpecial Knowledge/SkillsAbility to work with children with disabilitiesAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to communicate effectivelyExperienceSome experience working with childrenWork Schedule: 187 daysSalary: Pay Grade 3/Clerical/Paraprofessional Hiring Schedule Position will remain posted until filled.
