virtualization environment spanning Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), NetScaler ADC, and Citrix Hypervisor (XenServer), while helping drive the organization's strategic migration away from VMware.The ideal candidate has deep experience building secure, highly available VDI platforms, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and can operate comfortably across virtualization, identity, networking, automation, and cloud technologies.ResponsibilitiesDesign, engineer, and support a global enterprise end-user computing (EUC) environment built on Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix Hypervisor (XenServer), and NetScaler.Lead virtualization modernization initiatives, including migrating workloads from VMware vSphere to Citrix Hypervisor while ensuring high availability and minimal business disruption.Manage and optimize the Citrix platform, including StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, NetScaler, Citrix Studio, Director, FAS, ADM, Machine Catalogs, and Delivery Groups.Design and support secure remote access, authentication, and certificate services, including NetScaler Gateway, nFactor, MFA, SAML, LDAP, RADIUS, PKI, and Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS).Deploy, administer, and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), including host pools, session hosts, FSLogix, image management, and Azure integrations.Engineer and maintain Citrix Hypervisor (XenServer) infrastructure, including host pools, storage, networking, virtual machine lifecycle management, and high availability.Develop automation and operational tooling using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting technologies to improve provisioning, monitoring, and platform management.Lead platform upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery testing, performance tuning, and capacity planning.Troubleshoot and resolve complex Citrix, AVD, virtualization, authentication, and networking issues while serving as a senior technical escalation point.Partner with infrastructure, cloud, networking, identity, and security teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable client virtualization services.Maintain architecture documentation, operational runbooks, and engineering standards.Required QualificationsDesigning and supporting enterprise Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD) environments.Deep knowledge of NetScaler ADC, Gateway, StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, Citrix Studio, Director, FAS, ADM, and enterprise Citrix architecture.Experience designing and supporting Citrix Hypervisor (XenServer) infrastructure.Previous VMware vSphere/ESXi experience, particularly migration or modernization initiatives moving workloads to Citrix Hypervisor.Strong understanding of enterprise authentication like: AD, Entra ID (Azure AD), SAML, LDAP, MFA.Networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, proxies, and load balancing.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Citrix Cloud and hybrid cloud deployments.VMware Horizon exposure.Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager experience.Experience with monitoring platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar
