Service Area - Denver/AuroraIs this the role you are looking for If so read on for more details, and make sure to apply today.Branch - MonumentPosition SummaryResponsible for maximizing the sales and marketing of supplier brands in assigned accounts through consultative sales techniques, the building of strong relationships with key decision makers and effective planning, selling, merchandising and communication that permits achievement of company and supplier objectives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSolicit products in a defined route area while operating a company vehicle.Product is counted and ordered in each account into a laptop using the Encompass software package.Manage, rotate and maintain a neat inventory in each account.Must sell sufficient product inventory to eliminate out-of-stock situationsSeek and develop positive working relationships with our retail partners.Identify new opportunities to grow our existing portfolioDevelop and implement sales promotions to encourage distribution and product growthEstablish a close working relationship with all retail partnersResponsible for ensuring marketing and sales support materials are displayed in each retail outlet.Secure the best possible selling position for our products (including primary displays, coolers, etc.)Place all brand POS materials including neons, glassware, paper goods, and display enhancers in order to establish a “look of the leader”.Conduct special promotions within accounts to increase brands sales.Call on account to establish sales promotions thru displays and samplingsMaintain strong lines of communication with Driver to execute daily duties and merchandising expectations.Operate company vehicle safely and according to policy.Actively supports the Company’s mission and vision philosophy.Attends all required Company meetings.Employee initiates and actively participates in personal growth and development plans.Works with all co-workers to ensure a safe working environment.Maintains security and confidentiality of all Company information.Understands and complies with all Eagle Rock Distributing Company policies and procedures.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredBachelor’s degree preferredPrior sales experience preferredPrior experience in the beverage alcohol industry and/or distribution preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to meet company MVR and insurability standardExhibits a sense of urgency to achieve timely, quality resultsEffectively manages multiple tasks and prioritiesWorks effectively individually or in a team environmentRemains highly organized in a fast-paced environmentAbility to quickly learn and effectively utilize product knowledge, sales techniques and account characteristics,Adheres closely to company policies and procedure and all relevant lawsCommunicates clearly, proactively and effectively with co-workers, leadership, suppliers and accountsDisplays strong customer service skillsPossesses strong attention to detailExercises sound judgement in decision-makingTakes initiative to complete regular responsibilities, assigned tasks and achieve goalsAble to learn and is competent in using technology that includes, but is not limited to: tablets, cell phones, standard office equipment, current operating systems, sales and warehouse management software and email softwarePhysical Demands and RequirementsRequires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending/crouching and reaching in front and above the headMay require sitting or standing for extended periods of timeRegularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 lbs.Occasionally lifts, pushes or pulls items up to 70 lbs.
