P&L Engineers are directly involved in working on the development of innovative packaging for use in medical procedures, as part of the R&D and Operations Innovation team.Medtronic Packaging seeks an experienced technical leader with focus on all stages of the development process from concept generation through to commercializing across the P&L landscapeCome for a job, stay for a career!Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Provide leadership in technical innovation across the departmentActively collaborates with Packaging and Labeling peers across Medtronic to identify and implement best practices.Serves as a subject matter expert on cross-functional, cross-divisional project teams focusing on design, technology and process.You will design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot, and provide technical skills during research and / or product development.You will participate in sourcing, testing, and approving materials.Develops technical documentation including design specs, input requirements, validations and technical reports in accordance with quality system requirements.Supports issue investigations and corrective actions.Utilizes knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements related to packaging and labeling, ensuring robust package validation and qualification.Utilize project management skills to gain alignment, lead cross functional teams, and drive continuous improvement projects that focus on “best in class” outcomes.Provides guidance, coaching and training to others within packaging engineering team.Must Have: Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements and your permanent address are evident on your resume.Requires a Bachelors degree in Packaging, Engineering/science or related disciplineMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.Nice to Have: Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following skills, experiences, and certifications.Master's degreeExperience in biomedical materials, processing knowledge and medical packaging design procedures.A proven track record in innovative package design, product development and manufacturing. PR) locations (USD):$94,400.00 - $141,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
