This also comprises the integration of third party libraries to efficiently run Machine Learning based Applications on NVIDIA target SoCs as wall as the development, operation and maintenance of the required build-system technologies\nWhat You'll Do\nWork on Linux kernel modules\nIncorporate Linux Distribution in to build and deployment toolchain\nPerform system-level debugging and performance tuning\nDevelop shell scripts and automation tools\nTroubleshoot system issues and optimize performance\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Hardware, Networking)\nEnsure system security, stability, and scalability\nManage package builds and deployments\nContribute to documentation and technical design discussions\nOptimize performance, memory usage, and real-time behavior of embedded applications.\nIntegrate and maintain third-party software and open-source software\nWhat You'll Need to Succeed\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field with 5+ years of experience OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field with 3+ years of experience.\n\nStrong understanding of Linux internals, including user space vs kernel space, device trees, systems and system boot-up.\nStrong experience with Linux development for time critical Embedded Systems.\nFamiliar with Linux Kernel architecture (Scheduler (CFS vs RT), Memory management (paging, slab, CMA), Interrupt handling, softirq/tasklets)\nDeep understanding of Process and IPC (fork/exec, signals, shared memory, pipes, sockets).\nFamiliar with Linux boot up sequence and bootloaders.\nExperience with device drivers and user space drivers.\nLinux security knowledge (secure boot chain, signed kernel modules), filesystem hardening, namespace isolation.\nStrong knowledge in building real time Embedded Systems for automotive or similar industries\nUnderstanding bootloaders and hypervisors.\nKnowledge of applying kernel patches is desirable.\nBoard bring up and SOC bring up experience with Linux OS.\nStrong experience with structured fault identification approaches such as STPA or FEMA execution\nStrong experience on requirements based and test-driven release execution\nKnowledge of build systems (Make, CMake, Yocto, Buildstream, Bazel)\nProficiency in C/C++ programming\nStrong understanding of Linux kernel architecture\nKnowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, SSH, HTTP)\nExperience with debugging tools like GDB, strace, and Valgrind\nExperience working in multi-threaded, multi-core, and multi-processor systems.\nSolid understanding of Semaphore, Mutex, Message Queue, shared memory and other operating\nsystem concepts.\nFamiliarity with hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, Automotive Ethernet, CAN, and\nGPIO.\nKnowledge of software version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD practices, and issue tracking systems.\nExperience with Python, Bash scripting, or other relevant tools for automation and testing.\nExposure to Nvidia DriveOs.\nExperience with Vector Cast or GTest for unit testing.\nExperience working with scrum / Agile teams.\nKnowledge of ISO 61508 or/and ISO 26262 desirable.\nAutomotive ASPICE knowledge – V Cycle\nPerks of Being a Full-time Torc'r\nTorc cares about our team members and we strive to provide benefits and resources to support their health, work/life balance, and future.
