Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.\n\nJob Summary\nAs the Control Systems Technical Engineering Group Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising engineers and helping to execute assignments concerned with specialized or unique engineering requirements for this project. This position has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and coordinating these assignments. This involves exploration of the subject area, definition of scope, and may involve the development of novel concepts, approaches, and solutions. This role will interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, other functional departments, and the client in the development of the design.\n\nThis position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-EH1\n\nMajor Responsibilities\n\nManage discipline work process execution and assure technical adequacy in accordance with company, contract, and industry codes and standards.\n\nBe accountable for error-free deliverables.\n\nReview and approve technical reports, studies, design documentation, specifications, material/service requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and calculations using engineering software, as applicable, for control systems equipment/instrumentation.\n\nConduct technical presentations related to Control Systems Engineering design.\n\nProvide timely input to and maintenance of the project staffing plan.\n\nBuild an inclusive team environment\n\nProvide leadership and mentoring to team members.\n\nCreate meaningful goals working with the team and ensure goals are met.\n\nConduct task assignments and pre-job briefs with assigned team members and stakeholders.\n\nConduct quality checks for Control Systems' work.\n\nParticipate in project quality audits and technical reviews.\n\nPromote and train team on the use of new Bechtel digital work processes and provide innovative solutions to support the same.\n\nStays up to date with new software, automation work processes, technical developments, and their implementation\n\nUnderstands specialist group work process and dependencies between functions\n\nParticipates in Technical Working Groups (TWG) or specialty workshops and participates/leads in national level meetings of a professional society\n\nProactively contributes to Bechtel Technical Information Program (BTIP) and presents technical papers\n\nAssists in the development and coordination of special technical educational and training programs for Bechtel personnel and/or clients\n\nManages customer relations on issues related to specialty area\n\nEducation and Experience Requirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Automation/Controls/Instrumentation, Electro-Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or college, with 10-13 years of progressive Control Systems Engineering experience and a minimum of four years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.\n\nRequired Knowledge and Skills\nBasic Qualifications\n\nMust be authorized to live and work in the US without sponsorship.\n\nMust be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nPrior experience working in a Nuclear Quality and Safety Environment.\n\nExperience in nuclear plant design (commercial power plant or DOE facility).\n\nCurrent Professional Engineering License.\n\nExperience in working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQA-1 or ISO-9001.\n\nKnowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards (e.g., ISA, ASME and/or ANSI/IEEE).\n\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 application suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.) and other related computer programs required to perform job functions.\n\nExtensive knowledge of Control Systems Engineering work processes and specifications.\n\nWillingness to travel on business trips in support of the project.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.\n\nTotal Rewards/Benefits\nFor decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
